favorite caboose stories
There’s so many to choose from (lots of time has been spent at caboose from childhood until adulthood) but my absolute favorite memory was meeting my husband and now our best friends there!! We all worked there together and got to know each other! After 8 years we’re still going strong and caboose is still one of our favorite places to bring all our kiddos now! Caboose is near and dear to our hearts and a big part of all our families! ❤️

My family has Caboose flowing through our blood, for as much food and fun we have had for many years. Our boys grew up being excited to be rewarded with game tokens for good grades from school. It helps to have a Restaurant that caters to the whole family with food and games. We have many memories from Caboose!! Our latest was when our youngest son was marrying Jan 1, 2020. He actually got confused about the Rehearsal Dinner, which should have been New Years Eve. He reserved another Restaurant on Jan 1st. Caboose came through at the last minute, especially for it being New Years Eve. We had a Private Room and wonderful selections for the whole Wedding Party and the families represented. Thank you!

Oh my where to begin, we have been going here since my girls were in grade school, taking their report cards to get xtra play. Now they are 42 and 39. Then taking my grandkids there for birthdays and fun. Never forgetting the picture of my grandson Breck winning the big prize with thousands of tickets, he’s 12 now and says it was the best day. So 50th Street has such a huge place of so many memories with my kids and grandkids. I haven’t even began to talk about the amazing chicken strips, fajitas, chips and salsa, so yummy So thanks for the over 30 years of memories.

On June 29, 2013 My family and friends gathered there to eat and have drinks to celebrate at the time was my boyfriend's birthday. I had set up a huge dinner and bought cake for everyone to enjoy. As I turned around to grab serving plates, my boyfriend was down on one knee asking my hand in marriage. He told me that would be the best birthday present ever. We are now happily married with 4 beautiful children and still enjoy visiting the 50th Street Caboose.

Well, 50th St. Caboose has become a go-to favorite for my husband and I. My favorite time we went there was on July 13, 2024, our wedding day. We went that night with several of our family members to wind down after a busy wedding day and have some dinner. The atmosphere was perfect. We had a lot of laughter and discussion around the table. Our last name is Elder, so when I saw an Elderberry Margarita on the menu, my husband and I had to get on to toast our wedding day. The staff was so friendly with us, and when they found out we were celebrating our wedding, they gave us a discount on our entire dinner ticket. There was a guy walking around table to table doing some card tricks. He was impressive. When he heard it was our wedding day, he did one trick that blew us away. He handed my husband and I each a card and a sharpie and had us each sign our names at the same time on the cards we had. We handed the cards back to him, he did some magic in his hands and somehow my husband's signature got transferred onto the card with my signature. We still have that card to this day.

We love taking our children and now grandchildren to go eat and play games. We started taking them after we would pick them up after school. The food is delicious and we love making memories with them. My husband and I enjoy going there even if we don’t have the grandchildren. Great service and atmosphere. The party rooms are perfect for get togethers with friends and family.Phil always comes to say hi to us.

50th st. Caboose will always be my first choice when it comes to celebrating accomplishments with my children. We bring their report cards, and they always get a bonus for good grades. Some of our favorite memories are nights we’ve spent there, playing Deal or No Deal and joking about my youngest son’s “lucky hands”. Priceless memories. They have an amazing atmosphere, competitive prices, great food, and prize center has things the kids actually like.

Favorite story about caboose would be about 6 years ago . It was when I first moved to Lubbock . There was an awful winter storm . My husband and I were still wanting to get out of the house . Guess who was open ? Good ole caboose ! We were able to stay warm while enjoying yummy food and playing in the arcade. Unforgettable moment for us and will always cherish it
